1. Who We Are

Revantage GmbH operates a supply-side advertising platform (SSP) that facilitates real-time bidding between publishers and demand partners. We act as a data controller for the personal data we process in connection with our advertising services.

Revantage participates in the IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) and adheres to its specifications and policies.

2. What Data We Process

In the course of providing our advertising services, we may process the following categories of data:

  • IP address
  • User-Agent string
  • Device characteristics (screen size, language, browser type)
  • Probabilistic identifiers derived from technical request headers (such as IP address and User-Agent) used to support auction integrity and fraud prevention
  • DSP-provided user IDs during cookie syncing
  • Auction-related bid data
  • Consent strings (TCF, GPP, US Privacy)
  • Contextual page metadata

As part of real-time bidding (RTB) auctions, bid request data may be shared with demand partners (DSPs and other supply-side platforms) participating in the auction.

What we do NOT do:

  • We do not set cookies or use browser storage technologies
  • We do not collect precise geolocation data
  • We do not create behavioral profiles
  • We do not store interest segments

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We rely on the following legal bases under Article 6(1) of the GDPR:

We process data based on legitimate interest for:

  • Delivering advertising to users
  • Fraud prevention and security
  • Measuring ad performance
  • Improving our services
  • Generating audience statistics

Consent

Where required under the TCF or applicable law, we respect and honor publisher-collected consent signals transmitted via consent strings. We do not override or modify consent signals received from publishers.

4. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. Our retention periods are:

  • Sync mappings: Up to 90 days
  • Auction logs: Up to 60 days
  • Fraud detection logs: Up to 60 days

After the retention period expires, data is deleted or anonymized.

5. International Data Transfers

Our servers are primarily located within the European Union. Where data is transferred to third parties outside the EU/EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your data
  • Right to Restriction: Request limitation of processing
  • Right to Object: Object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Right to Data Portability: Receive your data in a portable format
  • Right to Lodge a Complaint: File a complaint with a supervisory authority

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Revantage does not set first-party cookies on user devices. We may facilitate cookie syncing with demand partners, where those partners set their own cookies subject to their own privacy policies. Revantage does not set or read third-party cookies itself.

Users can manage cookie preferences through their browser settings or through publisher-provided consent management platforms.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify relevant parties of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
